Well, hello there strangers!
Happy New Year to you all! I hope you got a good start to your new year and all your resolutions. I personally did not make any new year resolutions, but am continuing my progress as a human being, which makes things…normal.
Lots of things have changed in my life and are continuing their transformation of my life. My school has continued, althrough I switched to part time, because there was just too much work for me to do more, on top of working and regular household upkeep. If you follow me on Twitter, you’d know that I have been dealing with a mouse issue. I went with the humane traps, they came back; I blocked off as many places I could find, they still came in. I brought my cats in from my mom’s house, they got one! The old fashion snap traps seem to be keeping them out of my cupboards and off my counters. My stove is completely ruined because of them getting into the insulation and leaving their nastiness all up in there. I can still use the stove top, but I cringe when I do. My water heater died and I had to get a new one, so once that is paid off, I plan to get a new stove. It might be the year to replace all of my appliances. The point, is that the mouse issue is being worked out and the number of mice has quickly decreased.
Another new thing in my life, I am happily committed in a loving relationship. We have been exclusive for almost 3 months now and are discussing moving in together. Financial reasons pushing us into the conversation, brought us to this decision, but we are excited about it, with normal concerns of course. He has a handsome German Shepard that I get along great with, and as I am writing this, he is laying next to me on the bed, snoring. I bought him some Angry Bird squeaky toys and he hasn’t stopped playing with them since he got them, almost a month ago.
The weather in Maine has been very mild. We have gotten some snow, but it has not stuck to the ground long enough to make much of a difference. There was a week in there so far that it got pretty messy, but we have about four or five days in a row that we will see forty degrees. That alone will melt the few inches we have on the ground. Most of the snow on the ground was fluffy, until it started melting. Now it is perfect snowman making snow. Clumpy, sticks together, it is the best snow for snowballs! I look forward to Spring, even though we still have a couple months to go.
Well, I am off to update my sites, do some school work, house work and run a few errands. I hope you all are having a safe and warm Winter. Leave a comment below telling me about how your new year started out.
